WebEx / WolfMeeting Frequently Asked Questions

WolfMeeting accounts should be requested through the ComTech Telecom and IT Billing Customer Center (PCR360 application).  This is the system used to request ComTech services (new phone lines, data lines, etc).  Information about account types as well as the Departmental Coordinator search tool which can be found here

There are 3 types of accounts:

  • Most accounts will fall under the Standard category.  The standard account is for customers who will host a few WebEx meetings per week on average.  Standard accounts are $10 per month.

  • High usage accounts are for customers who will host more than one WebEx meeting per day on average or set up meetings in conference rooms and shared spaces.  High usage accounts are $50  per month.

  • Departmental accounts can be requested for departments that are planning to purchase accounts for the majority (at least 50%) of their employees.  These accounts are billed at $5 per account.

WebEx charges will be billed monthly and will appear on your monthly phone bill.

 No, you do not have to have a WebEx/WolfMeeting account to participate in a meeting.  You must, however, have an account to schedule and initiate WebEx meetings. 

The following operating systems are supported by WebEx:

  • Windows Vista (32-bit/64-bit)

  • Windows 7 (32-bit/64-bit)

  • Windows 8 (32-bit/64-bit)

  • Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

  • Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

  • Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion

  • Apple iPhone or iPad: Apple iOS 6.0 and later

  • Android 2.1 and later

Any video camera or web cam that connects to either a USB or parallel port on your computer should work with WebEx/WolfMeeting. 

If you are having trouble with your webcam make sure you are NOT running Skype or any other video or web cam software that may take or have control of your web cam.

Yes, you have three indicator options for this. A beep, the participant’s name, or nothing.

Yes, you can mute all participants.

The meeting host can record the WebEx meeting.

At the end of your meeting, WebEx will ask the host if they wish to share the recording with all of the meeting participants.  The host can choose to do it then or not share it at that time and share it later.

Meeting participants with International phone numbers can call into WebEx meetings using the phone number and meeting number in the invitation.  You cannot, however, make a direct call from the WebEx meeting to an International number.  If you wish to call an International number from your meeting, you must first call the number from your desk phone then call your desk phone from the meeting and ‘join’ the two calls.  Please note that International rates will be billed to your department.
